Determinasi dan penerapan Rock Mass Rating untuk penilaian stabilitas lereng andesit di Seloharjo, Bantul

Abstrak

Ketidakstabilan lereng merupakan masalah penting bagi lingkungan sekitarnya, sehingga penyelidikan yang cermat dan teliti terhadap stabilitas lereng menjadi sangat penting. Lokasi penelitian berada di Seloharjo, Kabupaten Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Sejak gempa tahun 2006 dengan kekuatan 5,9 pada Skala Richter, serangkaian gempa dengan kekuatan yang lebih rendah terus terjadi. Getaran gempa di wilayah tersebut memiliki potensi untuk memicu ketidakstabilan lereng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik stabilitas lereng batuan dengan menerapkan metode Rock Mass Rating (RMR). Objek penelitian merupakan lereng batuan yang disusun lava andesit Nglanggran. Penelitian menggunakan parameter dalam RMR versi 1979 yang disertai dengan analisis kinematika berikut data kondisi orientasi kekar dan lereng batuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan lereng cenderung stabil. Namun demikian teridentifikasi bahwa longsoran jenis baji paling berpotensi terjadi dengan arah longsoran ke arah barat daya, N292°E - N322°E. Kehadiran zona sesar sebagai pemicu gempa di sekitar Kali Opak menimbulkan perlunya meningkatkan kewaspadaan, terutama terhadap lereng yang memiliki nilai RMR terendah, mencapai 50, serta menunjukkan kualitas massa batuan yang rendah. Kualitas tersebut dapat diidentifikasi melalui penilaian Rock Quality Designation (RQD) dengan nilai 43,37% di area penelitian.
